The "Who, What & Why"...
Meet The Founder
Aloha, My name is Carissa and I am excited to share these transformative practices with you. It's the most subtle things that have the greatest impact.
I am a certified yoga teacher and Ayurvedic Lifestyle Counselor.
On a personal note I was raised in California, have 3 children, and have lived on Oahu since 2016. I have been an Occupational Therapist Assistant since 2012, working in pediatrics, geriatrics, and subacute care. I have experience as a Birth Doula, and a bodybuilding and nutritional coach. I love when life gets easier and feels more aligned through the simplest practices (easier said than done, but that's why I'm here). I enjoy everything about this island, ie surfing, hiking, beaching, the culture, and above all the true meaning of Aloha. I'm so excited to love on this community through these services. Looking forward to meeting more of you!
What sets us apart
At OMH, we infuse all of our practices with Ayurvedic wisdom. This is especially helpful for 1:1 services. It allows us to obtain deeper insight to the nature and needs of each individual and their unique constitution. You aren't just a number, we dive deeper and work from the inside out. We don't believe we are healing anyone, we believe in sharing the knowledge in order to promote the individual to heal themselves and take their life into their own hands. There are so many fun modalities, however we believe you have everything you need within yourself and the supportive nature around you. What a relief!
Why
It's in the name. We believe that we are "one", one world, one species, one consciousness. Of course we have our individual lives, however the nondualistic approach is that of unity. We want to share the wisdom and practices that have brought alignment, peace, deeper love and overall health (mind, body and soul) to our lives with the lives of those around us. As we all become more aligned as individuals, the world becomes a better place, we become better.
